Cosmic Science Research Site was the first main game created by Cosmic Science, first published in January 2021. Future expansions to the game were continually worked on up to the audio privacy update. From there, the project was abandoned with work instead shifting to Cosmic Science Aradna Generation Complex.
CSRS : Reborn was first planned through a general return to CSRS, with the old version fixed up and made public again. A group of Engineering Department contractors would work on the game slowly over a few months to introudce a few new areas and features. However, the CSRS contractor program was abandoned in 2023 due to multiple inefficencies. At the 3rd C.S. Annual Awards Show it was revealed that a proper revisit to CSRS was in the pipeline - later revealed as the full CSRS : Reborn project (also known as CSRSr).
This new revamped version of the game would comprise of many major upgrades to the look and feel of the game with additional benefits in optimisation and backend scripting to make gameplay more reliable, engaging and overall enjoyable. This would also allow for future exapnsions to the game once again.
