Outline
Our staff guidelines aim to create a positive and respectful environment for all members of our community. As a staff member, it is important to uphold these guidelines and act as a role model for others. We believe that by following these guidelines, we can continue to provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Guidelines
- You are expected to act as a role model and therefore behaviour in the server should conform to the community guidelines at all times.
- Think about what you say, especially in public channels. Ask yourself:
- Would you say it in public, to a large group of people?
- Does it have the potential to offend people?
- Is it a sensitive topic? If so, make sure it is worded correctly, e.g. not directly attacking someone.
- Do not ever show bias or hold a grudge toward any server members including other staff.
- Everybody in this server is an equal and therefore should be treated the same with the same amount of respect.
- Provide reasons for moderation actions, preferably quoting the rule or providing the rule number.
- Actions that we have to reverse multiple times (especially when the same server member is being targeted) will be investigated.
- Scale the severity of moderation actions with the severity of the infringement.
- Follow the chain of command. Do not try to boss those above you.
- If you believe someone is acting out of line, direct your concerns to your Director.
- Any time off should be managed according to the Absence Guidelines
Staff Punishments

⚠️ All punishments are given at the discretion of the Staffing Director and Staffing Board. These should be taken as a rough guideline, but are not final.

In the Staffing Department we issue basic punishments via Staff Strikes. Staff strikes work differently to warnings issued via our moderation bots.
Regular warnings do not affect your standing as a staff member unless you are muted or worse. When given a staff strike you are able to appeal by contacting the Staffing Director. You must provide proof that you:
- Did not breach the guidelines by directly referencing the guideline that was supposedly broken
or in the case of false moderation
- That the member was deserving of the punishment, quoting the rules that the member had broken with sufficent evidence
